POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for shop floor root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions for process related issues.  Position will assist the QA Manager in ISO quality system maintenance and continuous improvement programs.

Control Devices, LLC ("Control Devices" or "CD") is a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality flow control valves, condensate removal traps, related components and accessories serving the compressed air, pressure washer, vehicle systems, fire protection, specialty gas, and the industrial, agricultural and food service float valve markets.  CD prides itself in the ability to design, innovate and manufacture flow control valves for custom applications and offers a line of standard products that has grown over the years.  CD is based in Saint Louis, MO and its products are sold on a global basis to O.E.M's, Distributors and End Users.  

Control Devices is a privately owned company with a very seasoned management team focused on organic sales growth with existing products and new revenue growth through acquisitions.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

                     Conduct root cause analysis when quality issues arise.

                     Work proactively to implement corrective actions for process related issues.

                     Assist with ISO quality system maintenance and continuous improvements.

                     Manage supplier quality

                     Work with departments to write new ISO procedures.

                     Manage various quality projects.

                     Supervise Quality Inspectors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

         High School diploma or GED Equivalent

         Bachelors or Technical Engineer Degree Preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

          3 years quality experience in a manufacturing environment.

         1 year experience as a Quality Engineer

REQUIRED SKILLS:

         Proven ISO/TS quality system knowledge and expertise

         Experience in a machine shop, automotive or related industry (PPAP using APQP)

         Ability to read blueprints and comprehend technical specifications.

         Experience using a hands on approach to problem solving.

         Excellent computer skills

         Excellent oral and written communication skills

         Knowledge of writing and reviewing PPAPs
