POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Inventory Control Specialist is to maintain the accuracy of Machine Shop inventory levels by performing audits and investigations from reports within our database. This position is responsible for performing skilled computer duties using MS Excel with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Control Devices, LLC ("Control Devices" or "CD") is a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality flow control valves, condensate removal traps, related components and accessories serving the compressed air, pressure washer, vehicle systems, fire protection, specialty gas, and the industrial, agricultural and food service float valve markets.  CD prides itself in the ability to design, innovate and manufacture flow control valves for custom applications and offers a line of standard products that has grown over the years.  CD is based in Saint Louis, MO and its products are sold on a global basis to O.E.M's, Distributors and End Users.  

 

Control Devices is a privately owned company with a very seasoned management team focused on organic sales growth with existing products and new revenue growth through acquisitions.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

       Investigate part number history in Macola to identify and correct  transaction errors

       Work across Machine Shop work cells to reconcile inventory issues

       Review material, investigate for inventory accuracy 

 

       Network with other departments within the company to resolve inventory issues

       Develop and implement inventory process flows to address and resolve issues

       Request items to count from the supervisors from list in all areas of the plant, including scrap and rejected materials

       Process scrap tickets

       Enter data into Microsoft Excel

       Perform audits as needed within the Machine Shop as well as verify production entered within the database

       Manage meetings with supervisors to ensure accuracy of inventory and inventory procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High school or Equivalent

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

 

Experience using Microsoft Excel, Power Point and ERP systems

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

 

       Technical must have above average computer key boarding skills   

       Mathematical able to problem solve, add, subtract, multiply, divide, interpret bar graphs, and use a calculator

       Accuracy - must be detail oriented and produce error free work

       Organized must have structured, disciplined and methodical working skill set

       Obtain a clear understanding of Bills of Materials and part flow through the Manufacturing process

       Above average computer skills, including the use of e-mail, PDF documents and Microsoft Office

       Ability to lift 35 lbs., climb stairs and ladders

       Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, ability to handle interruptions, maintain focus on tasks and produce accurate work.

       Ability to work independently and as part of a team

       Must be able to pass drug screening and criminal background check

 

DESIRED SKILLS:

       Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

       Prior experience in Macola or similar ERP system

 

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Production and office environment at a plant site with manufacturing operations. Employee would be on the shop floor 25% of the time and the office 75% of the time.
