This position is responsible for developing a master production schedule which meets customer requested ship dates and balances work cell throughput capacity to available resources and materials. 



Control Devices, LLC ("Control Devices" or "CD") is a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality flow control valves, condensate removal traps, related components and accessories serving the compressed air, pressure washer, vehicle systems, fire protection, specialty gas, and the industrial, agricultural and food service float valve markets.  CD prides itself in the ability to design, innovate and manufacture flow control valves for custom applications and offers a line of standard products that has grown over the years.  CD is based in Saint Louis, MO and its products are sold on a global basis to O.E.M's, Distributors and End Users.  


Control Devices is a privately owned company with a very seasoned management team focused on organic sales growth with existing products and new revenue growth through acquisitions. This is a new position and the company is expected to have significant long term growth potential in served global markets.






         Prepares and releases work orders for production

         Develops capacity models for final assembly work cells

         Provides schedules for production personnel and equipment using capacity planning techniques 

         Coordinate with customer service to ensure that a controlled flow of customer orders are released to meet on-time shipment requirements

         Advises management of work in progress status and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, and materials are provided as needed

         Coordinates expedite activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and product engineering






         Bachelor degree in an appropriate four-year college program



         Three plus years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment

         ERP/MRP and MS Excel experience mandatory

         Machine shop knowledge is a plus 

         Has worked in collaboration with quality assurance, purchasing, production, product engineering and customer service



         Ability to create production schedules based on firm sales orders and internal item parameters.

         Capable of scheduling multiple work orders in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment.

         Able to complete scheduling analysis and perform "what if" scenarios

         Understanding of production processes

         Works well under pressure in a fast paced manufacturing environment

         Strong problem solving skills and attention to details are essential

         Experienced Planner in a Lean manufacturing operation

         Team player




         Proficient with Microsoft Office with strong working knowledge of Excel
