POSITION SUMMARY:

 

 

The Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the Leadership Team reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for all Finance and Accounting functions for the Company as well as playing a key role in setting strategic direction and owning critical processes for the Company.  The successful candidate will lead a group of seven employees in delivering on Company priorities..

Control Devices, LLC ("Control Devices" or "CD") is a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality flow control valves, condensate removal traps, related components and accessories serving the compressed air, pressure washer, vehicle systems, fire protection, specialty gas, and the industrial, agricultural and food service float valve markets.  CD prides itself in the ability to design, innovate and manufacture flow control valves for custom applications and offers a line of standard products that has grown over the years.  CD is based in Saint Louis, MO and its products are sold on a global basis to O.E.M's, Distributors and End Users.  

 

Control Devices is a privately owned company with a very seasoned management team focused on organic sales growth with existing products and new revenue growth through acquisitions.

 

 

KEY RESULT AREAS:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Be the leader for critical Company functions including Accounts Receivable; Accounts Payable; Capital Spending and Analysis; Treasury, Cash Management and Banking; Property & Casualty Insurance; and Information Technology.
  • Work directly with the Chief Executive Officer in managing the relationship with GHJM, including: preparation of monthly reporting packages and annual budgeting materials in addition to participation in strategic decision making.
  • Take a leadership role in evaluating, negotiating, and integrating acquisitions.
  • Participate in the development and execution of the company's strategic planning process. Develop and execute strategic and tactical sales and marketing plans to drive the company's continued growth and profitability.
  • Review and assess the profitability of business segments at the item level and develop action plans to ensure the Company maintains and grows its profit margins.
  • Develop and execute annual operating plans and capital budgets that are aligned with the strategic plan.
  • Work closely with audit and tax advisors in preparation of financial statements.
  • Provide day-to-day cohesive leadership to the Finance team to instill a focus on maintaining operational excellence and driving continuous improvement.  Lead in a participatory style that motivates people to high levels of productivity.  .

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

 

  • The fully qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on Finance or Accounting, with a preference for a post-graduate education and/or a CPA.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

 

  • He or she will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting roles with progressing levels of responsibility. The CFO will have a proven ability to drive change within an organization, and a demonstrated focus on delivering long-term profitable growth through operational cost containment and promoting value creating projects.
