This position is responsible for the day to day supervision of hourly industrial staff. This position will assign work, assist with the schedule, and provide assistance to the employees when there are issues with their machines.



Control Devices, LLC ("Control Devices" or "CD") is a leading designer and manufacturer of high quality flow control valves, condensate removal traps, related components and accessories serving the compressed air, pressure washer, vehicle systems, fire protection, specialty gas, and the industrial, agricultural and food service float valve markets.  CD prides itself in the ability to design, innovate and manufacture flow control valves for custom applications and offers a line of standard products that has grown over the years.  CD is based in Saint Louis, MO and its products are sold on a global basis to O.E.M's, Distributors and End Users.  


Control Devices is a privately owned company with a very seasoned management team focused on organic sales growth with existing products and new revenue growth through acquisitions.






                     Supervises the activities of assigned hourly workers engaged in manufacturing.

                     Manufacturing processes include machining, assembly, packing, and inspection.

                     Directs setup and adjustment of work cells.

                     Assists in the scheduling of work orders and work flow.

                     Trains employees in the Company's established work methods, processes and procedures.

                     Coach, counsel and disciplines employees when necessary.

                     Inspects finished products to verify conformance to specifications.

                     Applies knowledge to new innovative processes and work methods.

                     Improves quality, increases productivity, and assists in reducing costs.

                     Work on a weekend rotation and 45+ hours per week as needed.

                     May supervise other side of Machine Shop.






         Associates Degree preferred



          2 5 years of successful supervisory experience in manufacturing.



         Demonstrates knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kanbans, 5 Why's, and 5S.

         Demonstrates basic human interaction and leadership skills.

         Reads and understands blue prints

         Above average computer skills

         Experience with an MRP system, preferably Macola



         Received accredited supervisor training.
